Seventh Annual 2010 Tournament
The 7th Annual Tori Carswell Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, August 28th, 2010 at the Canadian Golf and Country Club. It was a gorgeous, sunny day, as always, thanks to our Angel Tori. This year we raised $33,116, which brings the total raised to date to $266,231, through this golf tournament, donations from Air Canada, The Kim Oswick Memorial Golf Tournament, The Delphi Group Annual Softball tournament and other donations. All funds have been donated to Tori’s Helping Hand, which is a program within the Candlelighters’ Amenities Fund. Tori’s Helping Hand, provides financial suppport to families whose children are in a palliative care stage of their cancer.

Our evening program was jam packed as usual and lots of fun thanks to our MC JR from the Team 1200, who can always get people laughing and singing!. The evening wouldn't be complete without a guest speaker. This year we had my friend Nouha Fakhouri say a few words. I met Nouha at CHEO when her daughter Maria was going through cancer treatments at the same time Tori was. Nouha gave a heartfelt and honest speech about Maria's cancer, Candlelighters and Tori. You're the best Nouha!
